"Margaret Ruth Morrison, daughter of George and Thursa Morrison, was born at Savannah June 16, 1861, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage on February 15, 1893, to Hosea Cunningham, who preceded her in death.

After leaving Savannah, they moved to the Rea community where they made their home, thus spending her entire life in Andrew county. For the last nine years, she had been in poor health, but she bore her suffering with patience and fortitude and was so appreciative of the care that was given her by her loved ones. She passed away at her home in Rea on the evening of August 25, 1938, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 9 days.

At an early age she was united with the Methodist Church and remained steadfast in her faith until death.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Luetta Minteer of Delphos, Kan., and Mrs. Hettie Couch of Rea, and several nieces and nephews. A niece, Mrs. Flossie Cornell, cared for her so tenderly during her last illness, and the two sisters and family were a great consolation to her during her last illness.

Funeral services were conducted at the church in Rea on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by W. C. Whitehouse of King City and burial was in the Savannah cemetery." Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democrat (Savannah, Missouri), September 2, 1938
