LOIE McCRAY

Loie McCray was born on May 19, 1904 to Elmer Eli and Emma Angie (Gartin) Deakins in Buchanan County near Frazier, Missouri.
Loie attended school and grew to womanhood in the Frazier area. On December 5, 1923 she was united in marriage to Ralph C. McCray. After their marriage they farmed near Frazier where they have since resided. Loie also worked for the Skagg's Store in St. Joseph for many years.
Loie McCray was a longtime member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Frazier Community Club, and very active in 4-H Club in the Frazier Community, and also a member of the Gower Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Isaacs of Agency, Missouri, and Emma Jane Bottiger of Winston Salem, North Carolina, one son, Ralph E. McCray of St. Joseph, Missouri, one sister Mary Miles of Agency, Missouri, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, and two daughter, Anna Loie and Connie Sue.
