Mrs. Margie Burns Galbreath, age 93, of the Sharpe Spur Community, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.  She was born in Wayne County and lived in Toombs and Montgomery Counties most of her life.  She worked at Cedar Crossing Sports Wear for several years and was a homemaker.  She was a member of New Corinth Baptist Church, and she enjoyed flowers, cooking, baking, canning, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, G.C. Galbreath; two daughters, Janice Galbreath and Debbie Galbreath; two grandchildren, Constance Galbreath and Marty Galbreath; son-in-law, Harley Taylor; parents, Virgil Burns and Delilah Williamson Burns; siblings, Dot Burns Tootle, Jack Burns, Reba Burns Braddy, Bobby Burns, Betty Burns Galbreath and Sherley Ann Burns.

Her family includes four children, Melrose Galbreath Taylor of Sharpe Spur, Steve Galbreath of Eastman, Dale Galbreath and wife Joyce, and Beverly Galbreath Craft and husband Eric, all of Sharpe Spur; one sister, Peggy Burns Thompson and husband James of the Center Community; seven grandchildren, Ken Sheppard and wife Susie of Sharpe Spur, Tony NeeSmith and wife Tanya of Uvalda, Marsha Ann Beasley and husband David of Cedar Crossing, Blake Galbreath and wife Shelby, Jenna Hutcheson and husband Joe, Natalie Craft Strom and husband Chandler, and Cameron Craft, all of Sharpe Spur; twelve great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 19th, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Galbreath Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until just prior to the service.
