Margery "Margie" Ellen Kellar, age 84, passed away at her home in Montour, Idaho on Thursday, October 13, 2022. She was born December 30, 1937, to Edward Warren and Edna May Gifford in Emmett, Idaho as one of seven children and grew up in Montour. Margie graduated from Emmett High School in 1956. On July 3, 1965, she married the love of her life, Karl A. Kellar. The pair went on to be a wonderful example of unconditional love in marriage for everyone who had the pleasure of witnessing the two of them together.
Margie was a great cook and along with her warm, welcoming and loving nature made holidays and family events especially enjoyable and memorable for her family and friends. She was a talented pianist and played the piano for the Sweet Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she also enjoyed working with the young women's group.
The most important role in Margie's life was that of being a mother. She was the epitome of gentle, loving, and caring for her four children and many grandchildren; especially the two granddaughters she helped to raise, Meagan and Lexi.
Margery was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl Kellar, her siblings Bill, Keith, Lois, Dolores and Neva, children Tami Mewborn and Darick Kellar and grandson Nick Bjarnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Kellar and son, Rusty Kellar, grandchildren (Kim) Meagan and Jonathan Bowlin and Alexa Kellar, (Rusty) Michael, Justin, Willie, and Bradley Kellar, (Tami) Andrea and Joey Bjarnson, (Darick) Ashley and Sterling Kellar, great grandchildren (Meagan) Kamryn and Gaige Bowlin.
Margie's service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweet, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. prior to the start of services.
