Fred Coffey, 68, of Oneida, passed away in the Scott County Hospital Monday January 7, 1974. He was the son of the late John Coffey and the late Henrietta Blevins Coffey. Survivors, two daughters, Joyce McDonald and Shirley Melch, both of Detroit, Michigan, Son, Bobby Lee Coffey of Detroit, Michigan. Five sisters, Jennie Newport of Birmingham, Ala., Christine Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ina Morris, Bessie Goodin and Agnes Mays all of Oneida, two brothers, Woodrow Coffey and Bud Coffey both of Oneida, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the West Funeral Home Chapel 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Roy Blevins officiating. Burial will be in the Hazel Valley Cemetery.
