Clara May Shipton was born at Braidwood, Ill., on December 12, 1874. When twelve years of age she moved with her parents to Nebraska, and it was here that she grew to womanhood.

Then at high noon on May 21, 1893, at her home near Cozard, Ne., she became the wife of Mr. J. M. Ellingsworth and in time they made their home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Five times did the stork enter their home bringing Constance Fern (Mrs. Waller Bennett), John Marion, Jr., Harry James, Earle Bryan and Blaire Burton. They are all living.

In the year 1911 they moved to Chelan; Mr. Ellingsworth coming first. He died shortly after arriving here. On June 2, 1911, Mrs. Ellingsworth, with the rest of the children made a hurried trop to Chelan. From that time she had made her home in Chelan.

Tho "it's as natural to die as it is to be born," all were shocked to learn of her death which occurred on Friday morning, Sept. 2, 1921, after an illness of about two weeks.

Survivors include her children mentioned above, and aged mother of 81 years, Mrs. Doty, Mrs. Purle Foote, Mrs. Brooks, Miss Kate Shipton, Mr. W. T. Shipton, all of Chelan, and Mr. T. D. Shipton of Cozard, Neb.
