Mrs. Ward, nee Katherine Shipton, was born in England, November 17, 1856, and came to the United States as a very small child, living first in Illinois, then in Nebraska before coming to this area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas A. M. Ward, who died in 1951.
She was a member of the Silver Star chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Cora Foote of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Rose Chapel of the Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger Johnson will officiate, and interment will be in Riverview cemetery, Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
