Lawrence Cornelius Stone, RFD 1, Dickerson, is being held in Frederick County Jail in connection with the fatal shooting of Mrs. Evelyn Augustus Stone, 59. . . . Mrs. Stone's body was found Saturday afternoon by friends of the family visiting from Baltimore. They notified the sheriff's office of the death.
A daughter of Mrs. Lena Orman Ray, RFD 2, Dickerson, and the late Franklin C. Ray [sic, George Frank Ray], Mrs. Stone is survived by her mother and two brothers: Samuel B. Murphy of Glen Burnie and John Franklin Ray [sic, John Maurice Ray] of Poplar Heights; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Harding of RFD 2, Dickerson; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be announced. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
