His first wife Lena (Ulrich) Ray, married Oct. 9, 1899 in Mt. Pleasant (Pearl), Frederick County, Maryland. They had only one child. (Divorced)
George was re-married on May 18, 1911 to Emma Catherine (Kolb) Ray also in Frederick County, Maryland, until her death. They had five children.
George also then re-married to an Augusta Louise (Shelton) Ray in which he is buried along with in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. They had but one child, Charlotte.
He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Methodist Church.
Died at home about 5:00am in the morning.
