George E. Lesovsky, son of George B. and Frances Blazek Lesovsky, was born May 10, 1917 at Cuba, Kansas, and died January 4, 2000 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 82 years, seven months and 24 days.
He attended Silver Thorn Elementary School and graduated from Cuba High School in 1935. He was united in marriage to Blanche Klima on December 30, 1942 and to this union four children were born.
He was a retired farmer and a long time Cuba, Kansas resident before moving to Belleville, Kansas in 1994. He was a member of the Cuba Masonic Lodge No. 362 AF & AM of Cuba, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Blanche Lesovsky, and a son, Darrell Lesovsky.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Morrissette of Bothell, Washington, Terry Fellers of Salina, Kansas, and Peggy Banks of Wichita, Kansas; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Leon Lesovsky and Vincent Lesovsky, both of Cuba, Kansas, Glenn Lesovsky and Marion Lesovsky, both of Belleville, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2000 at the Presbyterian Church, Cuba, Kansas, with Rev. Sue Haseltine officiating. Interment was made in Kopsa Cemetery, Cuba, Kansas.
