Vincent attended Silverthorne grade school and graduated from Cuba High School in 1938. He farmed until he enlisted into the US Army on December 8, 1941. Vincent served in France and attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the family farm.
On June 7, 1953, Vincent married Sylvia Smith and to this union two children, Thomas Edward and Marie Rae, were born. They were married fifty years.
Vincent was a member of the Cuba Presbyterian Church serving as a church elder, William Fleming Post No. 345, Order of the Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge No. 363 A.F. & A. M., and the Republic County Czech Club. He served on various boards including the Cuba School Board, Rural Water District No. 2, and Republic County Soil Conservation District.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sylvia on September 23, 2003; and his brothers, Leon, Glen, and George.
He will be forever by his brother Marion of Belleville; his daughter, Marie (Keith) Meador; his son, Tom (Peg) Lesovsky, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services wee held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Cuba Presbyterian Church with Pastor Phil Goombi officiating. Burial was in Kopsa Cemetery, rural Cuba, Kansas Masonic rites were conducted by Belleville Lodge No.. 129 A.F & A. M. and Military rites by American Legion William Fleming Post No. 345 Cuba, Kansas.
