FAMILY PLANS TO HONOR PAYSON MAN

PAYSON--Albert Sims Ashby, will be honored Saturday, July 3 at an open house at his residence, 157 W. 200 N., Payson, from 5 to 7 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited and their family requests no gifts.

Mr. Ashby was born July 3, 1896 in Lake Shore to Samuel and Emma Clayson Ashby. He attended Lake Shore and Spanish Fork Schools.

Mr. Ashby has always been active in the LDS Church, serving three stake missions, and as ward clerk. At the present he is in the high priests quorum in Payson Third Ward. He worked at Geneva Steel for 17 years.

He married Susan Bates on December 15, 1915 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had five children. An infant son and their oldest son, Gerald, are deceased.

Their living children are Dean Ashby of Payson; LaMar Ashby of San Lorenzo, California and Mrs. Karla A. Holm of Provo. He also has a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gerald (Phyliis) Ashby of Spanish Fork and one sister, Mrs. Mary Clark of Benjamin.

Albert Sims Ashby is the son of Emma Priscilla Clayson and Samuel Ashby. He attended Lake Shore and Spanish Fork schools.

He married Susan Eliza Bates December 15, 1915 in the Salt Lake City Temple, Salt Lake, Utah. They had five chidlren. An infant son and their oldest son, Gerald, are deceased.

Their living children are Dean Ashby of Payson, LaMar Ashby of San Lorenzo, California and Mrs. Karla A. Holm of Provo. He also has a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gerald (Phyllis) Ashby of Spanish Fork and one sister, Mrs. Mary Clark of Benjamin.

60TH ANNIVERSARY ASHBY EVENT SATURDAY

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ashby will be honored at an open house in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary. The event will be held Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Third Ward Cultural Hall, 191 N. Main, Payson. Friends and relatives are invited and they request no gifts.
