Daniel E. Eckroat is the son of John Ananias Eckroat and Mary Catharine (Baechler) Eckroat

Dan E., died Dec. 10 1995 at Central Oklahoma Christian Home at the age of 95. He was born Dec. 11, 1899, in OKC to Mary Catharine Baechler and John Ananias Eckroat. He is the last of the twelve Eckroat children: Frank, Mary, Charles, Sister Mary Philomena, Lily, John, William, Rose, Lawrence, Louis, and Paul.
He married Mabel Beavin at Sacred Heart Church in OKC on Dec. 31, 1924. They celebrated 70 years of marriage last year. He owned and operated, Eckroat Paint and Hardware Co. from 1922 to 1968. Following the close of his business, he worked for his son, Jack, at Jack Eckroat's Color TV Repair from 1971 to 1990.
He was a member at our Lady's Cathedral and sang in the Mens Choir for more than 50 years. From 1990 until his death, he was a member at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church. He was a life long resident of OKC. He is preceded in death by his son Jack, and is survived by his wife, Mabel, daughter, Helen Genon and Harold Schuelke; daughter in-law; Elizabeth Eckroat; grandchildren: Rick Schuelke, David and Mary Schuelke, Mary and Devin Demier, Guy and Linda Schuelke, Steven Goldsmith; great grandchildren: James and Greg Schuleke, Tina and Jenny Schuelke, Andrew, Anthony, and Alex Demier, Ashley Joe Eckroat, Christopher and Jeffrey Goldsmith; and many nieces and nephews. He loved God, his family, and the State of Oklahoma and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family requests in place of flowers that contributions please be made to Epiphany Building Fund of Superbia Retirement Village.
A Rosary will be held Tues., Dec. 12, 1995 at 7:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM Wed., Dec. 13, at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, with Interment following at Resurrection Cemetery.

Elizabeth Booten married "Jack" Eckroat September 12th 1954 in Oklahoma. Elizabeth Booten is the daughter of Edwin Booten. John Daniel "Jack" Eckroat and wife Elizabeth (Booten) Eckroat's children were: 1. Rebecca Marie (Eckroat) Goldsmith. Rebecca "Becky" Eckroat married Steven Kurt Goldsmith on March 11th 1978. Steven Goldsmith was born Dec. 3rd 1955 in Oklahoma. Steven and Rebecca had two children:a. Harley Christopher Goldsmith brn. October 1st 1981 and b. Arthur Jeffery Goldsmith was born Feb 13th 1985. ; 2. Christina Genn "Christy" Eckroat born July 14th 1958; 3. Steven Daniel Eckroat brn. September 2nd 1960 in Oklahoma whom married Laura (____?) Eckroat and had a child named Ashley Joe Eckroat.

Helen married Harold Lee Schuelke on June 15th 1949. Harold Lee Schuelke was born March 27th 1929. Helen and Harold Schuelke's children were: 1. Richard Dean "Rick" Schuelke born April 8th 1951 in Oklahoma; 2. Jeffery David Schuelke brn. October 10th 1953 in Oklahoma. Jeffery married Mary Kathryn (Hathaway) brn. Nov. 18th 1956 married March 7th 1981. Jeff and Mary (Hathaway) Schuelke had two children: Jason Daniel Schuelke brn. October 10th 1984 in CA. and Gregory Lee Schuelke brn. March 16th 1988 in CA.; 3. Mary Leigh(Schuelke) Demler born October 22nd 1955 in Oklahoma married Kevin Joseph Demler born April 28th 1950. married October 20th 1985. Mary and Devin Demler's children are: a. Andrew Patrick Demler brn. Oct. 28th 1987 in CA; b. Anthony Jordan Demler brn. May 15th 1990 in CA; c. Alexander Beau Demler brn. April 10th 1992 in CA.; 4. Guy Michael Schuelke born Jan. 11th 1961 married Linda Diane (Trockey) born Sept. 9th 1960 married Nov. 3rd 1984. Guy and Linda (Trockey) had two children: a. Christina Marie Schuelke brn. Nov. 2nd 1889 and b. Jennifer Michelle Schuelke born Mary 7th 1992 in CA.
