Olive Kathleen Carpenter, 80, of Vero Beach died Sept. 2, 1998 at her son's home in Vero Beach. She was born April 1, 1918 in Bar Harbor Maine the daughter of Myrton and Olive W. (Spencer) Hollis. She moved to Vero Beach in 1972. Mrs. Carpenter was a housekeeper at Indian River Memorial Hospital and a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are five sons George A. Achorn of Chepachet, R.I., Roland A Achorn Jr. and Randall N. Achorn both of Vero Beach, Robert L. Achorn of Framingham, Mass. and David L Achorn of Rockland Maine, two daughters Kay Achorn Rellias of Vero Beach and Peggy A King, of Vero Beach, one brother Myrton Hollis of Vero Beach, two sisters Geralyn M. Pappalardo of Kingston, N.Y., and Jennette P. Matysuk of Vero Beach, 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
