OREGON - Ardella L. Olson passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 83, after a long illness. She was born on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 1939, to the late Renzie and Emma Weber. Ardella was married to Kenneth Olson on May 23, 1959, and celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Ardella graduated from Ridgeway High School. She retired from American Family Insurance after 33 years in May of 2000. Ardella then did childcare for a special family for two years. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, always having great conversations. Ardella loved playing cards and she was pretty sure the Women won! "Therapy" (going to the casino), was a favorite pastime. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Oregon.

Ardella is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Olson of Oregon; and three children, Tim (Anne) Olson of Oregon, Tammy (John) Cordrey of Bancroft and Douglas (Michelle) Olson of Oregon. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsey) Drake, Jennifer (Brian) Summers, Michael (Kristin) Olson, Christopher (Liz) Cordrey, Danny (Sara) Cordrey, Aaron (Shannyn) Olson, Mollie and Ashlee Olson; and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Collin and Elouise Olson, Brooklynn, Aubree and Beckett Drake and Ellis Cordrey. She is further survived by her sister and brothers, Alvina (Stanley) Phillips of Madison, Joseph (Ellen) Weber of Appleton and Milan (Rita) Weber of McFarland; sisters-in-law, June Weber of Dousman and Bonnie Willard of Mazomanie; and brother-in-law, Gerald (Janice) Olson of Mazomanie.

Ardella was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Norman and Nelmer; three sisters, Bernice, Isabel and Rosella; one granddaughter, Angela; father- and mother-in-law; brothers-in-law, Milford Olson and Gene Heidemann; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Heidemann and Norma Halverson.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

The family would like to thank the 8SW staff at St. Mary's Hospital, the Fresenius Kidney Care Madison Capital staff for their care, love and kindness, especially "Mama Rita."
