Mrs Stella Marie Roger Savoie, a native of Larose and a long-time resident of Houma, died Sat at 9:30 am at the age of 74.
Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home will be held today from 9 am until 10 pm, resuming tomorrow at 8 am. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Feb 20 at 10 am from the funeral home, with religious services following at St Francis de Sales Cathedral. Interment will take place in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
She was the wife of Abel Savoie. She is also survived by three sons, Irvin and Carroll Savoie of Houma and Weldon Savoie Sr. of Bourg; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Joyce) Talbot Sr. of Montegut; one brother, Tillman Roger of Raceland; three sisters Mrs. Marie Danos of Cut Off, Mrs. Vennie Leblanc of Larose and Mrs. Edna Hebert of Westwego; and 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, Francois Roger and Alexina Plaisance; one brother, Don Roger and one sister, Pearl Barbera.
