Visitation is Wednesday, April 20, 5:30-7:00PM at Whitt Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.whittfh.com.

Kevin Neil Bilbrey was born January 6, 1963 to Bobby Ray Bilbrey, Sr. and Phyllis Jean (Parker) Bilbrey in Oklahoma City, OK. Kevin passed away peacefully in his home in Duncan on the evening of Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the age of 59, from a very brief battle with cancer. Kevin and his loving wife were joined in marriage on September 30, 1989, after having met in the Singles Department at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. They were married 32 beautiful years.

Having graduated from Waurika High School, Kevin went on to continue his education in Weatherford, OK, graduating from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Kevin began his long credit union career in the Tinker Federal Credit Union Manager Trainee program in Oklahoma City. Soon after completing the program, he moved on to become the President of St. Anthony Hospital Credit Union in Oklahoma City. He later became President of the Halliburton Federal Credit Union (Endurance Credit Union) in Duncan, which is what brought Kevin and his family to the Duncan area. He was currently employed by CUNA Mutual Group as an Account Executive, assisting credit unions throughout Oklahoma, Texas and Alabama.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Ray Bilbrey, Jr.; and his grandparents, Alvin and Loyce Parker.

Kevin attended Fair Baptist Church where he was very involved in every aspect of his church home. He taught Sunday School and served on many committees through the years. He most recently was assisting in the sound booth. He loved the Lord, his family and friends wholeheartedly.

Kevin served on the Empire Volunteer Fire Department for many years, having received the "Fireman of the Year" award in 2020. He loved his fellow firefighters and everything involved in the wonderful service they provide.

Kevin's dream had always been to own a cattle ranch. This dream was achieved when he and Rhonda purchased their dream ranch in the Empire area. Kevin was an OSU Extension Master Cattleman and a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association.

Kevin enjoyed playing golf, both for the thrill of the game and for the sweet fellowship he had every week with his golfing buddies. He always had a funny story or two to share about their games upon returning home from the golf course.

When anyone was around Kevin, for even a very short amount of time, they quickly found out that he was the most positive, encouraging person ever. His fabulous smile would light up any room. Kevin always had an encouraging word. Kevin leaves a great legacy.

Our family would like to especially thank Dr. Melissa Hurst, the entire DRH Emergency Department, and Chisholm Trail Hospice for the loving care they showed to our Kevin. They all went way above and beyond the call of duty to make sure he was well cared for during this very difficult time. These sweet angels were constantly by his side to provide whatever relief they could, and always had a sweet, encouraging word. Kevin was never one to get angry and would always see the positive in everything. Even after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, his first words were, "I cannot wait to see what God is going to do through all of this." He was always optimistic in every situation.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 20, from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 21, at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church West.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Empire Volunteer Firefighters. Interment will be in the Addington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that all donations be made to the Empire Volunteer Fire Department, 276935 E. 1760 Rd., Duncan, OK 73533.
