Robert L. Bilbrey of Duncan, OK, passed away on Thursday 05-25-2023, at Mercy Hospital (OKC) surrounded by loved ones. Robert was adopted at birth on 11-30-1973, in Marlow OK by Bobby and Evelyn Bilbrey, who both preceded him in death.
Robert was homeschooled and completed his education in 1992. He worked at several area businesses, including Sooner Trailer, Eduardo's, Chisholm Trail Music and he supported himself later in life as a performer and teacher.
Robert was a very gifted & celebrated Musician, and a large part of the local area music scene. Robert played guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin, and sang in several local bands Including "The Shadow Riders" "Jon Williams & The Coin Toss" & "Robert Bilbrey Band". Robert also Provided Music to Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church, First Christian Church, The Recovery Church, and several other Churches in SW OK & placed a high value on his personal faith.
Robert is survived by Amy Hughs his girlfriend of 10 years, His Biological Mother Julie Schaub, & Aunts Ann Sheets & Anita Schaub, several other Aunts Uncles & cousins whom he reunited with in recent years, as well as other family, friends, & people simply touched by his music to numerous to count.
A memorial service will be held in Roberts honor on Saturday June 3rd at 12:30PM at Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church .?Special thanks to Bailes Polk Funeral Home, Duncan Senior Citizens Center, Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church, First Christian Church of Duncan, Mercy Hospital ICU staff, and the community as a whole for the outpouring of love & support during this difficult time.

Bilbrey's band members and close friends are Tana Calhoun, Pete Calhoun and Jon Williams.
