Karen S. Arbuckle, 56, of 251 S. Paine St., Hanover, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born Feb. 12, 1947, in Madison, the daughter of Donald and Mary Margaret Scott Harrell. She formerly worked at Madison Bank & Trust Co. She was a member of First Christian Church in Madison and of the Bethany Circle of the International Order of King's Daughters and Sons.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond L. Arbuckle; four daughters, Tammy Ritchie of Scottsburg, Lynn Brooks of Dearborn County, Jody Robinson and Kristy Stewart, both of Madison; two sons, Richard and Russell Arbuckle, both of Scottsburg; her mother, Mary Margaret Scott Luckett, of Madison; two brothers, Kevin Harrell and Jeffrey Luckett, both of Madison; 11 grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, in 1951; her stepfather, Donald T. Luckett, in 1999; and one son, Lonnie Arbuckle, in 1994.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel, with burial in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
The Bethany Circle of King's Daughters and Sons will hold a memorial service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Bethany Circle of King's Daughters and Sons Scholarship Fund, or the American Cancer Society. Contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
