Mr. Raymond "Ray" Lewis Arbuckle, age 74, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on February 25, 1948 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late James Lanier and Doris Eloise Hall Arbuckle. He was raised in Scott County and a 1966 graduate of Scottsburg High School. Ray became a certified licensed electrician. He went to work helping his father in the family business "Arbuckle Electric" at the age of ten. He purchased the company in 1989 and operated it until 2003 when he sold it to his brother, Clay. Ray was united in marriage on March 11, 1966 in Scottsburg, Indiana to Judy Ann Alsup. This union was blessed with three children, Tammy, Rick and Russ. He was a devoted dad, papaw, brother, uncle, and friend. Ray was a member of the English Masonic Lodge No. 622 F. & A.M. where he was a past master. He also held membership in the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine. On December 28, 2004 Ray was united in marriage to Deborah Jo Johnson in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended the Paynesville Christian Church in Paynesville, Indiana and held membership in the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 Sons of the American Legion. Ray was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed wood crafting. He and Debbie had enjoyed nearly 18 years of marriage together. Ray died on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 3:45 p.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.

Ray will be missed by his loving wife of nearly 18 years, Deborah Jo "Debbie" Johnson Arbuckle of Hanover, Indiana; his loving daughter, Tammy Napier and her husband, Keith of Austin, Indiana; his loving sons, Richard "Rick" Arbuckle and his wife, Polly of Deputy, Indiana, Russel "Russ" Arbuckle and his wife, Sherry of Lexington, Indiana; his loving grandchildren, Michelle Richey Wienhorst and her husband, Amos, Danielle Miracle and her husband, Zachary, Audrey Arbuckle and Luke Arbuckle; his adoring great grandchildren, Kynton, Lillian, Greyson, and Abel; his brothers, Jay Arbuckle and his wife, Janet of Scottsburg, Indiana, Clay Arbuckle and his wife, Tina of Scottsburg, Indiana; his sisters, Lana Thompson and her husband, Kevin of Wilberforce, Ohio, Lacinda Richey and her husband, Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; his brother in law, Steven D. Johnson of Rexville, Indiana; his very close nephew, Lucas Adams and his wife, Brooke of Lexington, Indiana; his great nieces and great nephew, Kayleigh, Maci, Emma, and Colton; other nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lanier Arbuckle, died March 19, 1997, his mother, Doris Eloise Hall Arbuckle, died April 8, 2001 his sisters, Larita "Rita" Arbuckle Dillon, died January 10, 2009 and Laraine Marie Arbuckle, died April 22, 1971.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., by Bro. Phil LaMaster at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery near Chelsea, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
