Mary Margaret Scott Harrell Luckett, 78, of Madison, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at Columbus Health & Rehab Center.

She was born March 22, 1927, in Moorefield, the daughter of Frederick and Daisy McKay Scott. She was office manager for Tri-Point Oil Co. for 30 years, and earlier was employed in the clerical department at Jefferson Proving Ground and as a teller at Madison Bank & Trust Co. She was a member and multiple officeholder in the Madison Pilot Club; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Jefferson Post 9; the Jefferson County Democrat Women's Club; and a member of First Christian Church. She had served as church treasurer and on many committees. She was an avid volunteer and fund-raiser, enjoyed meeting with her friends at Madison Riverfront Development Project, and was a great supporter of the project.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin Harrell and Jeffrey Scott Luckett, both of Madison; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald Harrell, in 1951; her second husband, Donald T. Luckett, whom she married in 1957 and who died July 18, 1999; one daughter, Karen Harrell Arbuckle, Oct. 10, 2003; one brother, Fred Scott; two sisters, Rosemond Hoffman and Carolyn Scott; and one grandson.

Private graveside services will be held at Springdale Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Madison Riverfront Development Project or Historic Madison Inc. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
