Mrs. Weber of Decoria Called - Mrs. Barbara Weber passed away at her home in Decoria, Sunday morning about 10:30, after a lingering illness.
Barbara Kirchhofer was born in Granville township, Wisconsin, December 11, 1863, and, grew to womanhood in that community. She came to Minnesota in 1884 and was, married to Henry Weber, a widower with three small sons, on December 5, 1884. To this union were born five children, three daughters and two sons.
Her husband passed away in 1905 and two daughters, Mrs. Emma Bunde and Mrs. Bertha Mensing preceeded this beloved mother in death.
Mrs. Weber was a fine Christian character, the last charter member of St. John's Lutheran church, built on a portion of the Weber farm in Decoria. The cemetery is also located on the Weber estate.
Funeral services were held from this church, Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, following short services at the home. Rev. F. A. Damm officiated and interment was made at the Decoria cemetery, where the three step sons, Emil, Wm. A., and Albert Weber and two sons, Fred and John Weber and a son-in-law, Mr. Fred Mensing, acted as pall bearers.
Mrs. Weber is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lydia Mensing of Medo, and seven grandchildren, besides the above mentioned sons and stepsons.—Decoria Correspondent. BECE; 1/9/1941

Mrs. Barbara Weber, 77, widow of Henry Weber, died Sunday at her home in Decoria township. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:40 at the farm residence and at 2 o'clock at the St. John's Lutheran church of Decoria. Burial will be in Decoria cemetery. Rev. F. Damm will conduct the services.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Fred Mensing, Medo township, Fred and John Weber, Decoria, and three step-children, William Weber, Mankato, Emil Weber, superintendent of the Blue Earth county horne, and Albert Weber, North Mankato.
The body will be at the Harris Smesrud-Gosewisch funeral home until Wednesday morning. It has been requested that no flowers be sent for the funeral.
