COLUMBUS, GA— William O. Veasey, 77, of Columbus died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel with Reverend Hubert Huguley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Veasey was born April 26, 1931 in Phenix City, AL to the late George Veasey and Ruth Gates Veasey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean Conflict, and a graduate of the University of Houston.

Survivors include his two sons, Thomas Veasey of Phenix City, AL and Allan Veasey of Columbus, GA; one sister, Ruth Strange of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. To sign the online guest register please visit www.mem.com
