Ruth G. Veasey, 85, of 2823 Bradley Circle, Columbus, died Wednesday at The Medical Center.
The funeral was today, with burial in Girard Cemetery, Phenix City.
Mrs. Veasey was born April 26, 1902, in Opp, Ala., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seaborn Gates. She lived in the Bi-City area most of her life and was a homemaer. She was a Baptist and the widow of George W. Veasey.
Survivors include three daughter, Lillian Holland of Doraville, Ga.. Evelyn Sellers of Montgomery, Ala., and Ruth Strange of Houston, Texas; two sons, Clarence Veasey of Opelika and William O. Veasey of Phenix City; 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild.
