Born June 23, 1904, in Horse Shoe Run, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Stephen and Daisy Cora (Sell) Harsh. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gus L. Calcamp. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and well known throughout her community for the quilts she created. She was affiliated with the Methodist church and was a former member of the Farm Women’s Club.
Survivors include five sons, Wayne Calcamp, Mag odore, Ohio, and Lawrence Calcamp, John Calcamp, Donald Calcamp, and Cecil Calcamp, all of Horse Shoe Run; four daughters, Lela Slaubaugh and Juanita Stemple, both of Horse Shoe Run, Delores Kelley, Leadmine, W.Va., and Virginia J. Roth, Thomas; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, W.Va., where a service was conducted Tuesday, Aug. 3, with the Rev. Rogers Fike and the Rev. Dave Parker officiating. Interment followed in the Accident Cemetery, Horse Shoe Run
