Charlotte Frazia Warren Stembridge died February 19, 2022.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 am. at Forest Hills United Methodist Church located at 1217 Forest Hill Rd. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.

Ms. Stembridge was born in Laurens County (Dublin), GA. She was the daughter of the late Early E. Warren and Sally Mae Thaggard Warren. She was the last of 10 children, eight boys and two girls.

She was preceded in death by brothers William K. Warren, Leland E. Warren, Robert E. Warren, Johnnie L. Warren, M. Wilbur Warren, Joe E. Warren, E. Eugene Warren and Hugh P. Warren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Asbury Stembridge.

She was educated in the Laurens County and Dublin public schools. She received a B. S. Degree in music education from Georgia State College for women, now Georgia College and State University and a Masters of education degree from Mercer University. She retired from the Bibb County school system after having taught in other systems.

She was a member of the Forest Hills United Methodist Church and the Chapman Sunday school class. Early on, she sang in the church choir and later served as the pianist for the 11 AM worship service. She also served as the pianist for the Chapman class. She was a former chairperson for the Administrative Council and the Board of Trustees at Forest Hills United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Bibb of Retired Teachers Association and a Life Member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Phi Delta Kappa and Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional women's international educational society, where she served as president of the Alpha Chi chapter in Cordele, GA and the Delta chapter in Macon, GA. She also served as Co-Chairman of Music for the State of GA for Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a member of the Macon Study club and served as president and held other offices. She was a member of the Laurens County Historical Society.

Survivors include sons W. Asbury Stembridge, Jr. (Helen) of Macon, J. Warren Stembridge (Laurel) of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Laura Stembridge Oliver (Kenneth), Benjamin Stembridge (Colleen), W. Asbury Stembridge, III, Julia Stembridge, and Lindsay Stembridge; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Music Fund or General Fund. Other fund opportunities include the Navicent Health Foundation (Carlyle Place), American Heart Association, or any charitable organization of the donor's choice.

The family would like to extend its sincerest appreciation to the exemplary staff of Stafford Suites and Harrington House at Carlyle Place for their years of caring service for Mrs. Stembridge. Also, special gratitude is extended to the staff or Pine Pointe Hospice during these last several days.
