"Letta L. Skinner, 78, of 1905 Hardesty Ave., died Saturday at the home. She was born in Lawson, Mo., and lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Skinner was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, 141 N. Lawndale Ave. Her husband, Roy Skinner, died in 1973. She leaves nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Blackman Guardian Chapel; burial in Mount Washington Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, January 19, 1987
