Nick is the son of Simion Merkell Loskutov (1856-1908) and Dadeya Nikali Buchnoff (1858-1936). He is one of ten known children: Mary, John, William, Jack, Markel, Nickoli, Alexai, Emma, Hanya, and Matrona.

Nick married Minnie-Mary John Rudometkin on 06 Oct 1912 in San Francisco, CA. They had six known children: Doris, John, Nick, William, Kathryn, and Richard.

In 1920 the family was living with Nick's brother Jack at 1027 DeHaro Street on Potrero Hill in San Francisco, CA. Nick was a laborer in the ship yards. in 1930 Nick was a laborer in a lumber mill.
