Mrs. Futch Dies Suddenly

Funeral services for Maudie L. Futch of the Kelton community were held at the Church of God in Mobeetie at 3:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Pennington of Amarillo assisted by Rev. Mitchell of Pampa officiating.

Mrs. Futch died suddenly at her home 9 miles south east of Wheeler at 5:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, July 2 at the age to 58 years, no months and 21 days. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 11, 1891.

The Futch's have resided in the Mobeetie, Wheeler and Kelton communities for the past 25 years.

Survivors include: The husband, J.D. Futch and 10 children, J.D. Futch, Jr., Wheeler, Mayella Mixon of Stratford, Clydelia Burress of Allison, Jessie Lee Baird of Lyford, Odessa Burress of Pampa, Lois Sanders of Wheeler, Junior Futch of Pampa, Virginia Furguson of Pampa, Lloyd Futch of Wheeler and Marene Futch of Wheeler. There are 18 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Otis Ratchford of Washington and Arthur Ratchford of Mobeetie; 5 sisters, Jimmie Lanier of San Antonio, Bertie Moore and Pearl Harris of Calif. and Vivian Collins of Pampa.

Pall bearers included: Logan Owens, Lester Owens and Pete Tipps all of Canadian, Jack Mobly of Pampa, Doug Baird of Mobeetie and Ray Edward Futch.

Interment was in the Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Kirk-Mason Funeral Home.
