Mrs Mozella Mixon
Services for Mrs Mozella Mixon,65, of 1132 Varnon Drive will be at 10 a.m. monday in Carmichael - Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Gene Allen of the Lamar Full Gospel Assembly officiating.
Rev. Allen will be assisted by two of Mrs Mixon's brothers, the Rev. James Futch, pastor of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church of Amarillo, and the Rev. Loyd Futch of the United Methodist Church of Claude. Burial will be in the Mobeetie Cemetery.
Mrs. Mixon died at 7:30 p.m. friday at St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. She was born May 10, 1912 in Johnson County, Okla., and lived in Mobeetie for several years. She moved to Pampa five years ago from Stratford. She was a member of the Church of God in Pampa.
Mrs Mixon was married to Jess Mixon on Nov. 8, 1928 at Sayre, Okla.
Survivors include her husband; Two daughters, Mrs Juanell Brooks of Dumas and Mrs Bobbie Burchfield of Minco, Okla.; three brothers, the two pastors and J.D. Futch Jr. of Pampa; five sisters, Mrs. Jessie Lea Baird and Mrs Virginia Ferguson, both of Pampa, Mrs. Odessa Biship and Mrs. Marene Bennett, both of Amarillo, and Mrs Lois Spurrier of Dora, Mo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
