Harold L. "Porky" Appleton, age 83, of Logansport, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at McKinney Place.

He was born on September 6, 1938 in Logansport, IN to the late Jay and Opal (Gray) Appleton. On June 26, 1960 in Clymers, IN, he married Marcia Anne Lacey, who preceded him in death on September 2, 2018.

Harold retired from the Logansport Livestock Yards, where he had worked his entire life. Harold was a people person and had never met a stranger. He enjoyed kidding with people and dished it out as well as he received it.

Survivors include two daughters; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by five brothers - Robert, James, Joe, Tom and Charles Appleton; and two sisters, Kathleen Michael and Jane Slusser.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery near Logansport. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
