Clay Lincoln Howard, 73, of Marietta died February 11, 2001. Burial was in Noonday Baptist Church Cemetery in Marietta. A Cobb County native, Mr. Howard served in the Army during World War II. He was a carpenter and was a member of Noonday Baptist Church in Marietta.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Howard; sons Bobby Howard of Dahlonega, Mike Howard of Woodstock, and Rickey Howard of Marietta; daughter Linda Middleton of Marietta; brothers Roy Howard of Kannapolis, N. C., and Julian "Tenny" Howard of Marietta; and sister Sarah Frey of Marietta.
