Survivors include wife Nellie Pruitt Howard of Kennesaw; daughters Sara Frey and Martha (Mrs. James) Anderson of Marietta; sons Roy Howard of Landis, N.C., Clay Howard of Marietta, Julian Howard of Kennesaw; sisters Eunice Prance of Kennesaw, Ruth Cater of Atlanta; brothers Clyde Howard of Atlanta, Guy Howard of San Francisco; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Norman Medford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
