DEXTER - Ruth Hamlin, 88, died June 5, 2005, at her home.

Born Feb. 15, 1917, near Leora, daughter of the late Asa and Ada Kelley Clodfelter, she attended Zion Grade School and graduated in 1935 from Bloomfield High School. She was a member of the Dexter church of Christ.

Her husband, Carlton Hamlin, preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1976.

Survivors include: one daughter, Betty Anne Meyer of Garland, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Carlton ?Buck? and Brenda Hamlin of Pevely; two brothers, Ray Clodfelter of Jackson, Miss., and Amos Clodfelter of Grand Blanc, Mich.; two sisters, Laura Nan Ross of Bloomfield and Mary Helsley of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

Three brothers, Kelly Ward Clodfelter, Tony Wayne Clodfelter and John Louis Clodfelter, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from noon Wednesday until service time at 2 p.m. at Rainey- Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Dale Grissom and Don Bahr will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
