Amos Clodfelter, of Grand Blanc, age 85, passed away on Sunday, November 24,2013, comfortably with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc with Chaplain Don Bennett officiating.. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 2-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Amos was born April 3, 1928, in Bloomfield, Missouri to Asa and Ada Clodfelter. He joined the Marines the day he graduated from High School.Amos married Wilma Robinson in 1949 and they just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary November 12th. Wilma and Amos came to Michigan in 1950. Amos went to work at Buick, local 599, Wilma worked at A.C. Spark Plug. They both retired with 30 years service. Amos loved his family and rarely would you see Amos and Wilma apart. Amos is survived by his wife, Wilma, two sons Steve (Sharon) of Attica and Dr. Brad (Karen) of Orland Park, Illinois, beloved great grand daughter Ellen "Ellie" Clodfelter, that was the "apple of his eye." Two sisters Mary (Bill) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Lara of Bloomfield, Missouri,the daughter he never had. Linda (Bill) Gould and Ellie's mother Kiley McCreedy. Amos was preceded in death by his cherished one and only grandson,Adam Clodfelter, his parents, three brothers, Tony, Ray, John and one sister Ruth. The family would like to thank Amos' caregivers, Renee, Mandy and all the wonderful people at Gentiva Hospice. We will be forever grateful. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bright Start College Savings Program, P.O. Box 5288, Denver, Colorado, for Ellen S. Clodfelter.
