Thelma Marguerite Bowdoin, 93, passed on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was born on April 16, 1928 in Selma, Alabama. Thelma retired from the Escambia County Public School System as the Lunchroom Manager of Brentwood Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and taking care of her family.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, Alpha and Lessie Mott; her daughter, Marguerite B. Van Nostrand; siblings, Howard Mott, Carl Mott, Donald (Pearlie) Mott, Hazel (B.J.) Huggins, Judson Mott, Violet (Jimmy) Bitzer, and James Mott.
Thelma is survived by her sister, Evelyn (Jack) Barrow; brother, Lamar (Bonnie) Mott; sisters-in-law, Louise Mott, Alice Mott and Bonnie Mott; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and affectionatly called her Granny.
There will be a Graveside Service at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:00AM.
