Wilford Allison

Stricken with a heart attack while at work at the Weirton Steel Co., Wilford R. Allison, 195 Montana Ave., Chester, died Saturday at 7:55 p.m. in the Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville. Mr. Allison was born in Chester, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Allison. He was a veteran of World War I. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary B. Allison; three sisters, Mrs. Mareta Hallett of East Liverpool, Mrs. Callie Allison and Mrs. Edith Herron of New Cumberland; three brothers, Ennis Allison and Gary Allison of Chester, and Clyde Allison of Hookstown, and one grandchild. A son, Private First Class Lawrence Allison, was killed in 1944 in Luxemburg. Rites will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the late home by Rev. C. T. Weimer, pastor of the Chester Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery near Hookstown, where his son's body is interred. Friends may call at the home.

Wilfred Allison

Wilfred Allison, 55, employed with the Weirton Steel company as an oil pumper in the Coke plant, suffered a heart attack while at work on Saturday and was removed to the Weirton Steel emergency hospital. He was later taken to the Ohio Valley hospital where he died at 7:55 o'clock. An employee of the company for 13 years he was born on April 11, 1895 in Hancock county the son of the late Thomas B. and Willie Gertrude Allison. Surviving besides his wife, Mary B. Allison of Chester, are three sisters, Mrs. Marenta Hallett, East Liverpool; Callie Allison, and Edith Herron, New Cumberland; one grandchild; three brothers, Ennis and Garry of Chester and Clyde Allison of Hookstown, Pa. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday from the late home in Chester, 196 Montana avenue. The Rev. C. T. Weimer of the Chester Presbyterian church will be in charge and interment will be in Mill Creek cemetery, near Hookstown. The Harry Stewart funeral home in Hookstown is in charge of arrangements.
