Mrs. Gertrude Allison

Mrs. Gertrude Allison, lifelong resident of Hancock county, died at 11 Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Allison, at Gas Valley, New Cumberland R. D. 3, after a lingering illness, She was 82. She was the widow of Thomas Allison, who died in 1933, and was a member of the Chester Methodist Church. She is survived by four sons Ennis Allison, Wilford Allison and Garry Allison of Chester and Clyde Allison of Hookstown; two other daughters, Mrs. Martha Hallett of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Edith Herron of New Cumberland; a sister, Mrs. Martha Babb of Chester, and 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the late home, and burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home any time.
