Mrs. Martha Hallett

Mrs. Martha Bell Hallett died Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thurman (Gladys) McCormack of Martha St., Glenmoor, with whom she resided, following a 13 - year illness. She was 77. She was born Aug. 29, 1888, in Chester to the late Thomas Allison and Gertrude Martin Allison. She was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Arthur George Hallett, died March 2, 1942. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a son, Howard R. Hallett of Wichita, Kan.; three brothers, Ennis Allison and Garry Allison of Chester and Clyde Allison of Hookstown; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Callie) Allison and Mrs. Earl (Edith) Herron, both of New Cumberland; six grandchildren, and 15 great - grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. M. Rudolph Miller officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday night at the funeral home.
