NOTE: surname is misspelled on tombstone. It was actually spelled Pruitt. He was my Grandfather, who was born in Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia, but was raised in old Milton County, Alpharetta, Georgia. There is a discrepancy regarding his year of birth. His death certificate and tombstone give the year of birth at 1877; however, on his original application for a Social Security Number, he wrote the year as 1874. Research continues.
