Permelia Frances (Grider) Ping is the fourth child of John W and Mary "Polly" (McKinney) Grider of Pulaski County, KY. She married Bolen G Ping (his second marriage) on 11 September 1869 at the home of her sister, Sarah A Inabnit, who had married earlier that year. I believe that Permelia Frances had two children, twins, named John W Ping and Frances (Frankie) Ping. Frankie is listed as having died on 5 July 1875. Although Bolen's third wife is listed as 'mother', Sarah Jane Hall had only been married to Bolen a year at that time. John W Ping is listed on the 1880 KY Census as Bolen's son, age 10. There is no proof that Permelia Frances lived beyond 1870. I believe that she may have died from complications of child birth--a common occurrence. She certainly did not live long enough to be named in an heirs property buyout document dated April 1871.
