Thomas "Russell" Buckalew, 68, of Ellisville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Forrest General Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Ellisville. Rev. Jerry Robinson will officiate.
A nursing assistant with Mercy Hospital in New Orleans, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben C. and Nancy E. Holliman Buckalew; two brothers, Ralph Buckalew and Jessie "Shot" Buckalew; five sisters, Bethal Gainey, Violet Johnson, Louise Waltman, Nellene Gainey and Annie Hamilton.
He is survived by two sons,David Buckalew and Thomas Buckalew; a daughter, Stacey Swartz; a brother, Harlon T. Buckalew of Ok.; two sisters, Netta Hoover of Ellisville and Nancy Blue of Laurel; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - noon Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, which is in charge of arrangements.
