In Memoriam
______
Charles Wesley Tabor was born in March, 1874, and departed this life on May 9th, 1927, age 53 years and 2 months. He was married two times, his first wife living only a few years. He was then married to a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Tudor, and to this union several children were born. About 5 years ago he and his good wife were converted and joined the Free Will Baptist church, but like many others he became cold in the cause, and not until recently did he become thoroughly aroused to his condition. He then sent for Rev. Robt. Linville to come and pray with him and he prayed unceasingly until the end, when he told his wife that he was going to die, and that his only regrets were that he hated to leave her and the children.

His funeral was preached by Rev. Robt. Linville, assisted by Rev. W.T. Black at the home in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends, after which his remains were taken to the Luke Adkins Cemetery where after a talk by Rev. Jake Stanley in the presence of many friends his body was consigned to the grave.

He is survived by one son, Han Tabor and one daughter, Nannie Tabor by his first marriage, and his wife and three or four small children the youngest being a babe two weeks old, two brothers, W.E. Tabor of Myra, and J.N. Tabor of Sweetland, and two sisters, Nannie S. Jones and Mrs. Laura Lovejoy.

Oh, Death, where is thy sting?
Oh, Grave, where is thy victory?
A Friend

Taken from the Lincoln Republican, Thursday, May 29, 1927

He was a son of Alva Francis Tabor and Mary Jane Lucas. His first wife was Laura and 2nd wife Eliza B. Tudor.
