Her death notice in the Wolcott Lake Shore news dated 12/12/1907 reads: "Mrs. Abram Chase Dead -- Nancy E., wife of Abram Chase, of Wolcott, died Tuesday morning at about 4 o'clock. She was 76 years old the 3rd of last November.
Mrs. Chase had been in feeble health for a long time, but got along fairly well until last August. During old home week, while dressing herself, she fell and broke one of her hip bones. At her age the bone refused to knit and she was not able to leave her bed after that.
The funeral will be held from the house at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. Charles T. Shaw officiating. The interment will be in Leavenworth cemetery.
Mrs. Chase left a husband, but no children. They have lived in Wolcott nearly all of their long lives."
