Wilhelmina M. Hawkins Powell, daughter of Robert and Eliza Priscilla Wade Hawkins. Wife of William Henry Powell, married August 1, 1888. Mother of Charles Franklin, Pearl, Olive Drucy, William Gaylord, Edith, Mamie, Herbert Thompson, Cleo May, and Ivory Vesta Powell. Willie died at a young age due to high blood pressure complications. She was a short woman, about 4'11". She wore a child's shoe size. She had jet black hair, clear blue eyes, and fair beautiful skin. The description was given to me by Susan Davis, who received it from Ivory Fredrick, Willie's youngest child.
