"Ralph A. Burks, 65, of 6420 N.W. Waukomis Drive, died Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Tuscumbia, Mo., and had lived in this area 37 years. Mr. Burks was a millwright for the ADM Milling Co., before he retired in 1981. He was a member, deacon and treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Northern Heights. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Addie L. Burks of the home; three sons, Terry Lynn Burks of Parkville, and Billy Ray Burks and Robert Dale Burks of Kansas City; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Roark of Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, John Roark of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Hancock of Sedalia, Mo., and Mrs. Evelyn Hellebuyck of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in East Slope Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, September 22, 1981
