Babe served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated Emil Albert Plastering in Green Bay until his retirement.
He was a lifelong member of the Hermans Club and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, golfing, and going to the casino. He especially loved to spend time with family and friends and being a snow bird in Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne, four daughters, Lisa Albert, Green Bay; Linda Corbeille (special friend, Rod LeFevre), Green Bay; LaVonne Albert, Green Bay; and Leslie (Barry) DeBaker, Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren, Sarah, Katie (Nate), Dannah, Nathan, Jessica, and Lora; six great-grandchildren; three step-children, Mark (Stephanie), Chris, and Diane Simons; one step-granddaughter, Addison; a sister, Marge Anschutz, many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters, and other in-laws.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 22, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A memorial service will be conducted by his nephew, Father Ron Colombo at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, at Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay with one hour of visitation prior to the service. The family would like to thank Unity Hospice for all of the care and compassion during this time.
