Yvonne Charlotte (Sharkey) Albert, Age 81 of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021. She was born on July 12, 1939 in Mosinee, WI to the late Sylvester and Irene (Marco) Sharkey. She attended UW-Stout where she met John R. Simons, they were married on June 25, 1960. They raised three children, Mark, Christopher, and Diane. Yvonne met Emil "Babe" Albert in 1990 and spent over 25 years together. She married Emil on December 31, 2008. Yvonne was an avid card player, and enjoyed playing Bridge, Cribbage and Rummy and spending hours over a good puzzle. She enjoyed going to any casino and finding that hot slot machine. She and Emil moved to Cape Coral, Florida, where they enjoyed all that Florida has to offer, sun, fishing, and recreation. Yvonne enjoyed any conversation, and could strike up a conversation with anyone, and loved to laugh. She especially loved talking about her children and grandchild to anyone who would listen. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan, and a fan of Wisconsin sports in general. Yvonne always had a smile on her face even during difficult times. She is survived by her children, Mark J. Simons (Stephanie Walters), Christopher R. Simons (Jennifer Sayban), and Diane M. Simons, and her beloved granddaughter Addison, siblings, Jerome Sharkey, Patrick Sharkey, Debra Beske and many nieces and nephews. Yvonne was preceded in death by her brothers Leroy, Adrian, Eugene and James, and sister MaryAnn, husband John R. Simons and Emil "Babe" Albert.
