Don O'Dean Carson was born in Isom Springs, Oklahoma(Located about 6 miles south of Kingston) on Wednesday, 28 Jun 1933 to Ira Thomas Carson and Maggie May Lucy Eddings Carson.
Moving from Oklahoma to Paducah, Cottle, Texas, Dean was in various events with his talent of horse riding and friends with everyone.

During the call for men to serve their country at the ending of WWII and beginning of Korean War, he joined the U.S. Army first to Ft. Hood, Texas for basic training and then traveled to Europe from the US east coast on USS General M. C. Meigs (AP-116).

While at Fort Hood, he married Nellie Orlena Carman on 8 Sep 1954 in a chapel at Fort Hood, Bell County, TX. Shortly after, their daughter Vickie Diane was born in Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX. They later moved to California where they welcomed their son Ricky Dean.

He remarried on 11 Jun 1969 to Leona Barton (Huddleston Newman) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Welcoming her children: Katie, Larry, Billy and Denise, they later moved back to Marlow, Stephens, OK.

After heart complications, he went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, 15 Dec 2000. On 18 Dec 2000 a celebration of life was held at First Assembly of God conducted by Rev. Elwen Rogers and Rev. Eugene Howeth. Interment services were at Marlow Cemetery. Arrangements were by Calloway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Services.
