Ira Thomas Carson, son of Robert Franklin Carson and Holley "Hollie" Monroe Carson, born on 21 Sep 1904 in Saint Jo (Cooke) Montague, Texas. He married Maggie May Lucy Eddings in Kingston, Marshall, Oklahoma in the month of Sept 1925. Their children: Virgil Thomas, Ira Authur, Don O'Dean, Gladys Christene, and Robert Shirley.

PANHANDLE - Services for Ira Thomas Carson, 69, who died at 4 p.m. Friday at his home in Panhandle, will be announced by Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Carson, born in Saint Jo, came to Panhandle in 1966.

He was a retired farmer.

Survivors are his wife, Maggie; a daughter, Mrs. Christene Jeter of Iowa Park; three sons, Arthur of Oklahoma City, Dean of Marlow, Okla., and Shirley of Panhandle; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Stafford of Caney, Okla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

PANHANDLE - Funeral services for Ira Thomas Carson, 69, a Panhandle resident since 1966, who died Friday at his home, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First Assembly of God Church.

Officiating will be the Rev. Charley Pierson, pastor. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Carson, born in Saint Jo, was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, three sons, a sister, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
